Eligibility to Live on Campus

  1. Housing Availability

    On-campus housing is neither required nor guaranteed. Assignments are made based on the date both the completed housing application and the required non-refundable housing deposit are received. Students who complete these steps early have the highest likelihood of securing an on-campus space.

  2. Duration of Eligibility
    • Undergraduate Students: Eligible to reside of campus for up to ten (10) fall/spring semesters, excluding breaks and summer sessions.
    • Graduate Students: Eligible to reside on campus for up to four (4) fall/spring semesters, excluding breaks and summer sessions.

  3. Community Standards:

    Students who demonstrate an inability or unwillingness to meet community living standards may be deemed ineligible to continue residing in university housing.

  4. Immunization Requirement:

    In accordance with Connecticut State General Statute 搂10a-155b, all students residing in university housing are required to be vaccinated against meningitis as a condition of residence.     • All residential students are also required by the State of Connecticut to have received a meningitis conjugate vaccine within five years prior to their move-in date.
    • All students must provide proof of two doses of the following vaccines:
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella)
      • Varicella (Chickenpox)
    • All students must complete the health forms, including the tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment, to determine if additional documentation is needed.

  5. Enrollment and Academic Standing:

    Only matriculated students who are making satisfactory academic progress are eligible to reside in university housing. Students must be registered for classes to live on campus.

  6. Financial Responsibility:

    Students who fail or refuse to meet their financial obligations to the university may be deemed ineligible to continue residing in campus housing.
