Chemistry Club represents 91精品 at national meeting

Four students from the 91精品 Chemistry Club presented posters at the national meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Diego from March 23 to 26. Their travel was supported by the SGA, and they were accompanied by Dr. Sarah Maurer, who also gave an oral presentation. 

The posters and presentations included: 

  • 鈥淐haracterization of four water-soluble vitamins using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with photodiode array detection (uHPLC-PDA)鈥 by Brittney Blair, with research advisor Sourav Chakraborty.
  • 鈥淐haracterizing the permeability of abiotic protocells using fluorescence decay鈥 by Avery Glagovich, with research advisor Sarah Maurer
  • "Environmental constraints on vesicle formation: testing ten-carbon amphiphiles鈥 by Autumn Sankofa, with research advisor Sarah Maurer
  • 鈥淪ynthesis and characterization of amino acid decyl esters as prebiotic vesicles鈥 by Brody DeSouza with research advisor Sarah Maurer
  • 鈥淐hemical evolution on floating pumice islands for abiogenesis鈥 by Dr. Sarah Maurer
