Downtown Preston, which has both an open market and an enclosed shopping mall, is within walking distance of the university. England’s third largest city, Manchester, and Lancashire’s seaside resorts, such as Blackpool, are nearby and very accessible. Accessible transportation makes it easy to travel north to Scotland and south to London.
